Come check out Pipestone resident Dray Potts performing original music on their 12-string guitar! Dray Potts began playing music in 1986. They never intended to be a guitar player, but their first guitar was an extremely affordable $20 - much cheaper than the keyboard they wanted to buy. In 1989, they purchased a 12-string for $35 at a garage sale, and fell in love with the full sound of the instrument. They have been playing a 12 string ever since, and have written over 125 songs.
Described as a powerful performer with intense, intelligent lyrics, and dynamic stage presence, they have enchanted audiences since 1991. Dray rarely sings covers, and has five hours of original material available ranging from folk music to hard alternative rock. They are an extremely skilled rhythm guitar player with in impeccable sense of timing, and the rich sound of their 12 string adds depth to their already multilayered lyrical tones and meanings. Their vocal range is impressive, and they use it to deliver their songs with great skill and finesse.
